The Snapdragons (sometimes referred to as The Snapdragons UK, to distinguish them from the later US band of the same name) were an indie rock band from Leeds, England. [1] . They were led by their singer and main songwriter, James Taylor (not to be confused with The Prisoners mainman or the American singer-songwriter of the same name ).

Antirrhinum is a genus of plants commonly known as dragon flowers or snapdragons because of the flowers' fancied resemblance to the face of a dragon that opens and closes its mouth when laterally squeezed. They are also sometimes called toadflax or dog flower.

These gorgeous, colorful flowers are typically grown as annuals in the cool buffer seasons of spring and fall. The common name comes from the dragon-shaped flowers that appear to have two closed lips raised on a terminal spike.
