Hace 5 días · THE SNOWS OF KILIMANJARO (1952) Rating: 2.5 out of 5 Stars. An uneven Hemingway adaptation, THE SNOWS OF KILIMANJARO has its moments but doesn’t come together. Using flashbacks the way I have in my KILLERS adaptation, the film bounces around through Harry’s life, explaining his current depressive state.
The Snows of Kilimanjaro (If I could recommend one, it would be this.) Now I Lay Me There were many clear misses for me, and I probably won’t seek out Hemingway's writing for a long time, but I can see why he was groundbreaking in the 1920s and throughout the 20th century.
