Theodosia Bartow Burr (November 1746 – May 18, 1794), previously known as Theodosia Bartow Prevost, was an American Patriot. Raised by a widowed mother, she married British Army officer Jacques Marcus Prevost at age 17.

Theodosia Prevost Full Biography. I was a fifth generation American born in 1746 to Ann Bartow, the widow of Theodosious Bartow who died at the age of 34 while my mother was pregnant with me and for whom I was named.

Theodosia Prevost. 1746-1794. I was a loyal English woman who had to work hard to save her home. In 1746 I was born the daughter of Theodosious Bartow – from whom I get my name – and his wife Ann Bartow. Unfortunately, my father died before I was born.
