14 de ene. de 2008 · While playing for Gene Clark at the Whisky A Go Go, he was asked to replace Chris Hillman in The Byrds in the summer of 1968. A new incarnation of the legendary band was evolving which included Roger McGuinn, Clarence White, and Gene Parsons with whom he recorded Dr. Byrds and Mr. Hyde and The Ballad of Easy Rider .

15 de feb. de 2024 · Gene was reunited with his ex-Byrd brothers Chris Hillman and Michael Clarke — augmented by stalwarts Herb Pedersen and Al Perkins — for what was a laudable attempt by Jim Dickson and Eddie Tickner to launch the group (dubbed Nyteflyte) in Nashville.

6 de feb. de 2021 · Hillman’s memoir, Time Between: My Life as a Byrd, Burrito Brother and Beyond, first published November 17, 2020 by BMG Books, has gone into its second printing and will be available at retail on February 23, 2021.
Two former Byrds have played the Narrows, Roger McGuinn and Chris Hillman. Gene Clark never will, because he died in 1991, just living long enough to see the alt.country movement he helped inspire. That's Roger to the left of Gene (in the square) and Chris just below, back in the original Byrds line-up.
