Thomas Gainsborough Pintor inglés Thomas Gainsborough nació el 14 de mayo de 1727 en Sudbury, Suffolk, Inglaterra. Con quince años se marcha a estudiar dibujo y grabado a Londres con el grabador francés Hubert François Gravelot. Cursó estudios de pintura y tuvo como maestro a Francis Hayman, pintor de temas históricos.
