Thomas was tried by the church court and sentenced to stand in front of the congregation of Holy Trinity church clad in a white sheet, for three Sundays. Shakespeare saw his lawyer again on 25 March. One of the significant changes is that the reference to Thomas Quiney was struck out and Judith’s name was inserted instead.
Judith Quiney (baptised 2 February 1585 – 9 February 1662), née Shakespeare, was the younger daughter of William Shakespeare and Anne Hathaway and the fraternal twin of their only son Hamnet Shakespeare. She married Thomas Quiney, a vintner of Stratford-upon-Avon. The circumstances of the marriage,
Judith married Thomas Quiney in 1616, and the couple had three sons: Shakespeare Quiney, who died in infancy, and Richard and Thomas, who both died in 1639 within a month of each other. Neither of them married or had children before they died. It is possible to claim a relationship to Shakespeare through his sister, Joan.
His father, Adrian Quiney, was a colleague of Shakespeare’s father John in Stratford’s Corporation. More than a decade later, on February 10, 1616, Quiney’s third son Thomas married Shakespeare’s younger daughter Judith. Their first child, born nine months later in November 1616, was baptized Shakespeare Quiney.
Richard Quiney was buried on May 31, 1602, as recorded in the Holy Trinity Church parish register. On October 2, 1601, he had been sworn in as bailiff for the following twelve months and was thus described as “Mr. Shakespeare Documented features all primary sources that document the life and career of William Shakespeare.

He died in Jan 1639 aged 21 (possibly of the plague). Thomas Quiney was born in Jan 1619. He also died in Jan 1639, the same month as his brother, aged 19 (possibly of the plague).
