Thomas St Leger, Archdeacon of Kells, was the son of Ralph St. Leger, of a long established Anglo-Norman family; his mother belonged to the de Malemains family. He was elected Bishop of Meath before 5 November 1282, but was not successful in holding possession of the See, reportedly because of his Norman blood. [2]

Thomas St Leger, archidiácono de Kells, fue elegido obispo de Meath antes del 5 de noviembre de 1282, pero no tuvo éxito y reclamó Roma, donde finalmente fue nombrado por el Papa Honorio IV el 12 de julio de 1286. Fue consagrado el 3 de noviembre de 1287; y murió en el cargo en diciembre de 1320.
