  1. 30 de nov. de 2017 · Thomas William House Marker. Inscription. A native of Stoke St. Gregory in Somersetshire, England, T.W. House emigrated to the United States in May 1835. A baker by trade, he soon was employed by the St. Charles Hotel in New Orleans. By 1838 he had moved to Houston and established the company of House and Loveridge, Bakers and Confectioners.

  2. The four sons now living are: Thomas William, Jr., John H. B., Charles S., and Edward M. Mrs. House died on the 28th day of January, 1870, and was followed ten years later by her husband, who passed away on the 17th day of January, 1880. The death of Mr. House was one of the most serious losses of the kind that this city ever sustained.
