Timothy Allan Burgess (born 30 May 1967) is an English musician, singer-songwriter and record label owner, best known as the lead singer of the alternative rock band the Charlatans . Early life. Burgess was born in Worsley, Lancashire, [1] but grew up in Moulton, Cheshire, [2] where he moved when he was five. He went to Leftwich High School. [3]
