Thanks to the award, she was able to purchase equipment to support and nurture her creativity.

On the training front, Lydia honed her acting skills at the prestigious ‘ Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School ,’ earning a Bachelor of Performing Arts in 2014.
19 de abr. de 2024 · The triple threat booked the role at the end of her second year at the New Zealand drama school, Toi Whakaari; however, acting wasn’t always the plan. Tara planned to attend a musical theatre school in London, but that came to a halt when the Pandemic began back in 2020.

Pikopiko is led by passionate, trained actors and teachers. During these workshops, tamariki and rangatahi learn performance, and storytelling skills within a tikanga Māori framework.
