Ogodei. Ogodéi, también escrito Uguedei, Oguedei, Uguedey, Ogaday, Ogatay, Ugodei, Ogotai u Oktay; mongol Өгэдэй, Ögedei; chino: 窝阔台; pinyin: Wōkuòtái; ( c. 1186-11 de diciembre de 1241 1 ) fue el tercer hijo de Gengis Kan y Borte, y segundo gran kan del Imperio mongol tras la muerte de su padre (1229-11 de diciembre de 1241).
Tolui Kan, también escrito como Toluy o Tului -en cirílico mongol: Толуй; en sinogramas 拖雷, Tuōléi- era el cuarto hijo de Gengis Kan. Su dominio territorial, a la muerte de su padre en 1227, fue la actual Mongolia, donde desempeñó el cargo de administrador civil mientras se confirmó a Ogedei como segundo Gran Kan.

The youngest, Tolui, inherited the ancient Mongol homeland of eastern Mongolia. Two years later, in 1229, a great Mongol assembly confirmed the succession of Ögödei as the great khan ( khagan ).
