Anthony La Russa Jr. ( / ləˈruːsə /; born October 4, 1944) is an American former professional baseball player, coach, and manager. His MLB career has spanned from 1963 to 2022, in several roles. He is the former manager of the St. Louis Cardinals, Oakland Athletics, and Chicago White Sox.

He was pursued as an infield prospect by most of the 20 big league teams, and signed as a $50,000 bonus baby with the Kansas City Athletics immediately following his high school graduation.
