27 de oct. de 2021 · “I’m an Iowa boy living in Oklahoma now, but I love going back to Iowa,” Tyler Trepp, a tenor with the group since it first went pro, told the Ames Tribune in a recent interview. A 2003 grad of Urbandale High School, Trepp started an a cappella group with friends during his teenage years in Iowa.
Tyler was a part of IU Straight No Chaser for all 4 years of college, serving as the groups Musical Director for 3 of those years. He graduated in 2007, which makes him the youngest member. After college, he sang on two cruise ships with the a cappella group "Oceans Four."
The nine-man act of Walter Chase, Jerome Collins, Seggie Isho, Michael Luginbill, Steve Morgan, Jasper Smith, Randy Stine, Tyler Trepp and Freedom Young has served as a festive blend of harmonious voices for more than two and a half decades, having recently celebrated their 25th anniversary.

Tulsan Tyler Trepp joined the group in 2009 just after a viral video landed Straight No Chaser a deal with Atlantic Records.
