Robert Peel. Sir Robert Peel, 2nd Baronet, FRS (5 February 1788 – 2 July 1850), was a British Conservative statesman who served twice as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (1834–1835, 1841–1846), simultaneously serving as Chancellor of the Exchequer (1834–1835). He previously served twice as Home Secretary (1822–1827, 1828–1830).

The faction was later called the "extreme right-wing" of British and Irish politics. The Ultra-Tories faction broke away from the governing party in 1829 after the passing of the Catholic Relief Act 1829.

t. e. Tory Act of 1776 was penned as seven resolutions passed by the Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 2, 1776. [1] The legislative resolutions emphasized the American Patriots opposing sentiments towards the colonial political factions, better known as British America's Tories or Royalists .
