2 de dic. de 2023 · Vakhtang I Gorgasali (Georgian I ) (c. 439 or 443 502 or 522), of the Chosroid Dynasty, was a king of Iberia, natively known as Kartli (eastern Georgia) in the second half of the 5th and first quarter of the 6th century.
Vakhtang II (Georgian: ვახტანგ II; died 1292), of the dynasty of Bagrationi, was king of Georgia from 1289 to 1292. 29 de mar. de 2024 · Demetrius and Vakhtang shared western Georgia and Kartli. Vakhtang IV's reign proved short and he died in 1446 without an heir. In mysterious circumstances, and perhaps at Vakhtang's wish, George took possession of the crown, disinheriting his elder brother, Demetrius, who found himself driven back to western Georgia.
Demetrius, born in 1259, was the second son and third child of King David VII of Georgia. His mother was David's third wife Gvantsa née Kakhaberidze. He was 2 years old when Gvantsa was put to death by the Mongols as a reaction to David's abortive rebellion against the Ilkhan hegemony. David himself died in 1270.
Alexander II (Georgian: ალექსანდრე II; died April 1, 1510) was a king of Georgia in 1478 and of Imereti from 1483 to 1510. Son of Bagrat VI of Georgia , he briefly succeeded his father in 1478 during the Georgian civil war of 1463–1491 which divided the kingdom into several independent states.
