Valentine Cameron Prinsep (1838-1904), often known as Val Princep was a British painter of the Pre-Raphaelite school. For the first few years of his artistic career, Prinsep was very closely involved with the Pre-Raphaelite movement.
Valentine Cameron Prinsep 1838 - 1904. Summary. A scene from the fairy tale of Cinderella, depicting the barefoot and ragged figure of Cinderella standing against a wall by the kitchen hearth, carrying a pile of wood in her apron, and looking anxiously over her shoulder.
In 1857 Prinsep painted one of the murals in the Oxford Union with Rossetti and his friends, and he was very close to Rossetti for the next few years.
