Composición VII (en ruso: Композиция VII, romanizado : Kompozítsiya VII) es una pintura al óleo sobre lienzo del artista ruso Vassili Kandinski, pintado en noviembre de 1913, en Múnich, Baviera. 1 Es considerada unánimemente la abre maestra del artista del período anterior a la Primera Guerra Mundial .
Vasily Kandinsky nace el 16 de diciembre de 1866 en Moscú, en cuya universidad estudia Derecho y Economía entre 1886 y 1892 e imparte clases tras obtener su licenciatura. En 1896 rechaza un puesto de profesor para viajar a Múnich y estudiar arte con Anton Azbe entre 1897 y 1899 en la Kunstakademie, y posteriormente, en 1900, con Franz von Stuck.

About 1931 national socialists started a large scale campaign against Bauhaus, which led to its closing in 1932. Kandinsky with his wife emigrated to France where they took up their residence in a new house in the Parisian suburb Neuilly-sur-Seine. Between 1926 and 1933 Kandinsky painted 159 oils and 300 water colors.
