Der Saale-Orla-Kreis ist ein Landkreis im Südosten von Thüringen. Er ist nach dem Wartburgkreis und dem Landkreis Schmalkalden-Meiningen flächenmäßig der drittgrößte im Freistaat. Kreisstadt ist Schleiz. Raumordnerisch gehört der Kreis zur Planungsregion Ostthüringen und ist Mitglied der Planungsgemeinschaft Ostthüringen.

Schleiz is a town in the district of Saale-Orla-Kreis in Thuringia, Germany. The former municipality Crispendorf was merged into Schleiz in January 2019, and Burgk in December 2019. Location.
