Willem Einthoven spreekt (1921) Willem Einthoven ( Semarang, 21 mei 1860 – Leiden, 28 september 1927) [1] was een Nederlandse arts die bekend werd als uitvinder van de snaargalvanometer, waarmee hij praktisch bruikbare elektrocardiogrammen (ECG) kon vervaardigen. Hij ontwikkelde ook terminologie voor het interpreteren ervan.
Willem Einthoven ( Semarang, 1860. május 21. – Leiden, 1927. szeptember 29.) holland orvos, fiziológus. 1924-ben elnyerte a fiziológiai Nobel-díjat „az elektrokardiogram mechanizmusának felfedezéséért ”.

Einthoven was born on 21 May 1860 in Semarang, Java, in the Dutch East Indies (present-day Indonesia).
