William Butler Yeats /jeɪts/ (Dublín, 13 de junio de 1865-Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Francia, 28 de enero de 1939) fue un poeta y dramaturgo irlandés. Poeta y autor teatral irlandés. Nació el 13 de junio de 1865 en Dublín ( Irlanda ). Fue criado en el seno de una familia protestante, hijo del pintor John Butler Yeats.
