William Henry Lambton (1764–1797) was a British member of Parliament (MP) who represented the City of Durham in the House of Commons . Biography. Lambton Castle in the late 19th century. He was the son of Major-General John Lambton, who preceded him as the MP for Durham, and the brother of Ralph John Lambton, who was also an MP for Durham.

Several other members of the Lambton family have also gained distinction. Both the first Earl's father, William Henry Lambton (1764–1797), and grandfather, Major-General John Lambton (1710–1794), as well as his great-uncle Henry Lambton (1697–1761), represented the City of Durham in Parliament.
1788 Durham. William Henry Lambton was installed at the First meeting of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Durham in ample form with the accustomed honours on 9th September, in the presence of more than 150 brethren.
William Henry Lambton (1764-1797) William Henry Lambton was the MP for Durham and installed as provincial Grand Master of Durham in 1788. He died of consumption while on the Grand Tour in November 1797 and is buried in the Old English Cemetary in Livorno, Italy.
