Hace 2 días · He married Adelaide Dugdale, daughter of William Stratford Dugdale and Harriet Ella Portman, on 14 August 1862. They had seven children. He was created Viscount Peel in 1895; his eldest son William was created Earl Peel in 1929. Eliza Peel (c. 1832 – April 1883).

To maintain the status quo, the British Colonial office placed a further limited quota on Jewish immigration.
