William Seymour, 2nd Duke of Somerset, KG, KB (1588 – 24 October 1660) was an English nobleman and Royalist commander in the English Civil War.

In September 1660 Hertford secured a private act of Parliament establishing his claim as duke of Somerset. He therefore died at the end of October as 2 nd duke of Somerset, and William Seymour succeeded as 3 rd duke.
When William Seymour -2nd Duke of Somerset was born on 1 September 1587, in Great Bedwyn, Wiltshire, England, his father, Edward Seymour Viscount Beauchamp, was 25 and his mother, Honora Rogers, was 25. He married Lady Arabella Stuart or Stewart in 1610, in Essex, England, United Kingdom.
William Seymour, 2nd Duke of Somerset (1587–1660), grandson, inherited the estates on the death of his grandfather the 1st Earl, his father having predeceased the latter.
