William Wyler. William Wyler (n. 1 iulie 1902, Mulhouse, Alsacia-Lorena, Imperiul German – d. 27 iulie 1981, Los Angeles, California, SUA) a fost un director, producător și regizor american de film, câștigător a trei Premii Oscar pentru cel mai bun regizor (1943, 1947, 1960).
William Wyler naît à Mulhouse , le 1er juillet 1902, alors que l'Alsace se trouve sous occupation allemande. Son père est un commerçant, et il reçoit une excellente éducation à Lausanne avant de venir étudier le violon au Conservatoire de Paris. En 1922, il rencontre Carl Laemmle, patron des Studios Universal et cousin de sa mère.
