In 1957, when the Government changed the age for admissions to high school to 11 years old, the two lowest forms which constituted the preparatory department moved from the high school to the independent Wolmer’s preparatory department, which would later incorporate the preparatory department of the Boys’ School and become the very successful third member of the Wolmer’s group of schools.
