19 de ago. de 2011 · The Nittany Lion gained the reputation of Penn State’s mascot in 1904 from Penn State third baseman Harrison “Joe” Mason while the team was away playing Princeton. During the away game, Mason and a few other players were being shown around the campus, and a Princeton baseball player stopped to brag about how strong and ferocious the Princeton Tiger was.
