La fiebre amarilla o vómito negro es una enfermedad aguda e infecciosa causada por el virus de la fiebre amarilla cuyo principal vector es el mosquito Aedes aegypti. Es una causa importante de enfermedad hemorrágica en muchos países de África y América del Sur. Es endémica en áreas subtropicales y tropicales de América del Sur y África.
