The two Addams Family movies, 1991's The Addams Family and 1993's Addams Family Values, along with the 1990s animated series, resurrected the mansion's original exterior design from the Charles Addams cartoons.
Addams Family Values is a 1993 American supernatural black comedy film directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and written by Paul Rudnick, based on the characters created by Charles Addams. It is the sequel to The Addams Family (1991).

The front of the house was built specifically for The Addams Family and Addams Family Values on a mountain that overlooks the Burbank Hills at Toluca Lake, and the rest of the interior was shot on sound stages.
