Alfred Hitchcock Presents, sometimes called The New Alfred Hitchcock Presents, is an American anthology series that orignally aired on NBC for one season from September 29, 1985 to May 4, 1986, and on the USA Network for three more seasons, from January 24, 1987, to July 22, 1989, with a total of four seasons consisting of 76 episodes.
S1.E4 ∙ Don't Come Back Alive. Sun, Oct 23, 1955. Frank Partridge and his wife plot to cheat their life insurance company by having her hide out for 7 years and declared legally dead, but an investigator believes Mr. Partridge has murdered her.
For those who like classic television, it doesn't come any better than Alfred Hitchcock Presents (and The Alfred Hitchcock Hour). The master of suspense had droll, dryly sardonic opening and closing appearances, in this ten year anthology. Perhaps the most subversive change lay in the series treatment of wrong-doers.
