11 de may. de 2024 · Alice Cooper’s unhinged stage act was anonymously showcased in the 1970 film Diary of a Mad Housewife before the band decamped for Detroit. They honed their music under the direction of producer Bob Ezrin, and their third album, Love It to Death (1971), found an audience and yielded the hit single “I’m Eighteen.”
Associated with that album and tour was the ground-breaking network TV special Alice Cooper: The Nightmare. Other film and television appearances include The Muppet Show, Mae West’s last film Sextette, Roadie, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearst Club Band and appearances on The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson and Tom Snyder’s Tomorrow Show.
History. In 2011, the surviving members of the original Alice Cooper band were finally inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame, where they performed for the first time publicly in many years. The original band also contributed to Alice’s 2011 album “Welcome 2 My Nightmare”, a follow up to Alice’s first solo album.
