Ann Sothern (born Harriette Arlene Lake; January 22, 1909 – March 15, 2001) was an American actress who worked on stage, radio, film, and television, in a career that spanned nearly six decades. Sothern began her career in the late 1920s in bit parts in films.

Ann Sothern (de nombre auténtico Harriette Lake) nació el 22 de enero del año 1909 en Valley City, Dakota del Norte (Estados Unidos). Era la hija mayor de Annette Yde y Walter Lake. Tenía dos hermanas. Estudió canto en su infancia y debutó como actriz interpretando pequeños papeles a finales de los años 20 en Broadway y en Hollywood.
