Apocalypse Rising 2 is an open-world survival game developed by Dualpoint Interactive. It is the sequel to Apocalypse Rising and became free to play on July 1, 2022. It was able to be purchased as paid access for 1000 Robux.
AR 2 was disclosed back in 2016 however the release date was not announced until 2017, the game was delayed until August 4th 2017 when the game was released to the public for an Alpha access fee of R$ 1,000.
The game in its early Alpha was able to be accessed if you paid R$ 1000, this meant that there were very few players playing the game for five years. After several reduced access fee's and five years the game was made free to play on July 1st, 2022. Thus the hype for the game was revived alongside a very excited player base.
Apocalypse Rising 2 is a survival game. You must find weapons and ammunition, gear up character, eat and drink to leave alive and fight off zombies (and occasionally hostile players). You can either team up in a squads with up to 5 people or explore this dangerous world alone.
Apocalypse Rising 2 has a large variety of weapons - from knifes and pistols to katanas and LMGs. Usually melee weapons are used to eliminate infected without much noice, while guns are used against players. Every gun has its own stats, rarity, requires a special type of ammo and can be modified using attachments. Some guns can only be obtained from mini-bosses. "Fresh spawns" (players that just created the character) usually start with snubnose revolver and pocket knife.
The map of Apocalypse Rising 2 is an archipelago - it consists of small and big islands. The small ones are Lulu, Albatross and Mackinaw, while the big ones are Halsey, Barkley and Faris.
The game is not that user-friendly and Apocalypse Rising 2 is known for its extremely toxic playerbase. I suggest to watch a few tutorials as it is hard to play Apocalypse Rising 2 as a "goober", a colloquial term for a noob or newbie. Before you get good at this game, you will have to die quite a lot.
