27 de jun. de 2015 · KINGSTON, Jamaica (AP) — Former world record-holder Asafa Powell won the 100-meter final Friday night in Jamaica's trials in 9.84 seconds. The 32-year-old Powell used a strong finish to earn a spot in the world championships in August in China.
Asafa Powell, CD (born 23 November 1982) is a retired Jamaican sprinter who specialised in the 100 metres. He set the 100 metres world record twice, between June 2005 and May 2008 with times of 9.77 and 9.74 seconds.
