  2. Vincent van Gogh - At Eternity's Gate (1890) Oh I didn’t know the movie was named after a painting. me. I’ve seen it titled just simply Old Man Sorrowing, which is more benign and accurate. We are allowed to still feel sorrows after major losses in a long life, and then afterwords we may very well laugh at ourself for being a stereotype.

  5. 7 de may. de 2024 · A friend recommended that I watch “At Eternity’s Gate” which is the story of Vincent van Gogh, which is magnificently played by Willem Dafoe. There is so much good to be said about this film, but I want to focus on just one particular aspect of the story, which relates to a thought that keeps rolling around in the rock tumbler of my mind.
