I do love Bill Paxton in it but it kinda leaves me cold. I saw this in the theater and walked away thinking “Alien was a terrific paranoid horror and this is just Rambo on Mars.” Only with the power of IMDB and the internet was I to learn that James Cameron actually did write the screenplay to Rambo and then moved directly to direct Aliens.
