The work. Religious Family. The Oblates of the Society of Saint Pius X. The founder. Founded by Archbishop Lefebvre, the family of the SSPX’s oblate sisters saw the light of day in 1973.
Although the Society is essentially made up of priests, its Founder also wanted it to welcome religious members, the auxiliary Brothers, who are placed directly under the authority of the Superior General: they observe the same statutes as the priests, to which some particular rules are added.
As of 2024, the Congregation of the Sisters of the Society Saint Pius X has 255 members: 209 professed Sisters and 46 in formation (24 novices, 15 postulants and 7 pre-postulants), coming from 24 different countries.
In 2019, the Congregation of the Sisters of the Society Saint Pius X numbers more than 180 professed Sisters of 18 different nationalities, with houses in 10 countries: France, the United States of America, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Argentina, Gabon, the Dominican Republic and Australia.

Davide Pagliarani, Superior General of the Society of Saint Pius X, celebrated a thanksgiving Mass for the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the Society Sisters.
As of April 2018, the society had 637 priests present in 37 countries and active in 35 more, 772 Mass centers, 167 priories, 123 religious brothers, 200 religious sisters, 79 oblates, 204 seminarians in six seminaries, 56 pre-seminarians in three pre-seminaries, more than 100 schools, 7 nursing homes, 4 Carmelite convents, 19 ...
