Se lleva mal con su hermano Subaru ya que ambos tienen sentimientos por Ema. En el animé, al igual que Tsubaki, es uno de los pocos hermanos que logra besarla. Es uno de los hermanos más independientes ya que no vive en "Sunrise Residence" y siempre anda en su propio automóvil.
