The comic strip made its debut on Sunday, October 4, 1931, in the Detroit Mirror and was distributed by the Chicago Tribune New York News Syndicate.
Hace 17 horas · “Tracy’s Hall of Fame” is a monthly panel appearing in the strip since around 2005, in which a police officer, first responder, or other friend of law enforcement is profiled. The panel is written by the comic’s law enforcement technical advisor, a role currently held by retired Polk County (Florida) lieutenant Walter Reimer since 2016.

Hace 4 días · The main characters are ex-astronaut Jeff Tracy, leader of International Rescue, and his five adult sons, who pilot the Thunderbird machines. Thunderbirds debuted in September 1965 on the ITV network. The series was exported to around 30 countries during the 1960s.

Hace 5 días · Alex Grand (@comicbookhistorians). 28 Likes. In 1932, the DickTracy strips did a fantastic job showing how he figured out which gun shot him. It's this kind of procedural crime work that made Tracy the top comic detective until Batman showed up seven years later.
