Distant was originally scheduled for March 11, 2022, September 16, 2022, and later January 27, 2023, before being quietly pulled from Universal Pictures' release schedule. According to Amblin's website, it was scheduled for January 19, 2024. However, on November 9, 2023, the film was once again removed from the schedule.

Sinopsis.
