Earl of Harewood ( / ˈhɑːrwʊd / ⓘ [3] ), in the County of York, is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. [4] History. The title was created in 1812 for Edward Lascelles, 1st Baron Harewood, a wealthy sugar plantation owner and former Member of Parliament for Northallerton.
