Edgard Colle (* 18. Mai 1897 in Gent; † 20. April 1932 Gent) war ein belgischer Schachspieler. Colle war Berufsspieler und nahm im Zeitraum von 1922 bis 1931 an über 50 Schachturnieren teil. Fünfmal gewann er die belgische Landesmeisterschaft: 1922, 1924, 1925, 1928 und 1929.

Bio. Edgard Colle was a Belgian chess master who introduced the opening now known as the Colle System. It’s characterized by the moves 1.d4 d5 2.Nf3 Nf6 3.e3, followed by moves like Bd3, 0-0, and Nbd2, intending e4 at some point. However, Colle was also a strong player.
