Elliott Roosevelt (February 28, 1860 – August 14, 1894) was an American socialite. He was the father of First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt and the younger brother of Theodore Roosevelt (1858–1919), the 26th president of the United States.

While Elliott Roosevelt’s life was cut short, the legacy of his daughter Eleanor is certainly timeless. I’m glad to see the restoration of Elliott’s correct name. Notes
