26 de ene. de 2022 · Lo que entendemos por histograma es que es un gráfico en el cual se representa una determinada distribución de frecuencias de la variable que se dé: es decir, es una representación gráfica que tiene forma de barras. La superficie de cada una de estas barras es proporcional a las veces que se repite (frecuencia) un valor representado de la variable.

It is thus used to graphically show the result of a frequency distribution in grouped data. Similar to all histograms, there is no space between the bars in a frequency histogram.
A histogram shows the frequency of data. It has intervals at the x- axis and the frequency at the y- axis. I believe what you are suggesting might be referred to as a line graph? Histograms don't exactly show continuous data, but they definitely show frequency. Hope that helped! Happy Learning!

They are fantastic exploratory tools because they reveal properties about your sample data in ways that summary statistics cannot. For instance, while the mean and standard deviation can numerically summarize your data, histograms bring your sample data to life.
In other words, a histogram represents a frequency distribution by means of rectangles whose widths represent class intervals and whose areas are proportional to the corresponding frequencies: the height of each is the average frequency density for the interval.
