3 de dic. de 2021 · Early Years. King George III was born on 4th June 1738 to Frederick Louis, Prince of Wales and Augusta of Saxe-Gotha at Norfolk House, London. At the time of his birth, he was second in line to the throne after his father. George began his education at the age of six years. He was educated with his brother Edward who was a year younger.
Charlotte was Britain's longest-serving queen consort, serving for 57 years and 70 days. Charlotte was born into the ruling family of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, a duchy in northern Germany. In 1760, the young and unmarried George III inherited the British throne.
George was born during the reign of his paternal grandfather, King George II, as the first son of Frederick, Prince of Wales, and Princess Augusta of Saxe-Gotha. Following his father's death in 1751, Prince George became heir apparent and Prince of Wales. He succeeded to the throne on George II's death in 1760.
