- En qué orden ver la franquicia Hellraiser. Si queremos atenernos a la creación original, con el sello de Clive Barker, debemos limitarnos a ‘Hellraiser’ (1987) y ‘Hellbound: Hellraiser II’ (1988), aunque el último remake también tiene notas y bendición del propio autor, por lo que estaría más cercana a sus intenciones que el resto y podría acompañar a las dos anteriores, porque además es la única en la que también aparece el Leviathan.
- Hellraiser (1987) Pese a ser una película que destaca por su modestia, concisión y la transparencia con la que refleja la visión de su creador, solo hay que ver el trailer de la película para detectar cómo dos producciones distintas pugnan por salir a la superficie desde un mismo punto de partida.
- La caja de los placeres. Debido a la juventud de Barker, la imprudencia de New World o la inexperiencia de buena parte del equipo creativo (también era la primera película para Bradley), la película resultante fue inusualmente atrevida, incluso para los cánones de la época.
- Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988) La inevitable secuela ('Hellraiser 'recaudó veinte millones de dólares en todo el mundo) no tardó en llegar, con Barker adoptando un papel de productor ejecutivo y Tony Randel, montador no acreditado en la primera parte (suyos fueron los notables cortes que hubo que llevar a cabo para esquivar las iras de la censura), como director.

- Hellraiser V: Inferno (2000) Joseph Thorne is a police officer that often gets involved with illegal businesses and harasses women on the job. While investigating a case, he finds a mysterious box at the crime scene and takes it home to have a little fun as he likes puzzles.
