The song is in F#/Eb according to every source I find. But the song predominately features chords in D# and G. Neither of which are in F#. I've checked every mode I can think of and can't find an F# scale/mode that fits this song. Johnny always uses crazy tunings and I wouldn't doubt if he just played it in the key of "Idk it sounded good" but ...
