  4. Ida Lupino was born in 1918, while Vivien Leigh was born in 1913. So Ida would have been 21 years old during filming. Leigh was 26 during filming. I don't believe that age would be an issue. Lupino was in High Sierra only 2 year later in a major role along with Bogart and she did well in the context of more experienced performers.
