Sir James Paget, 1st Baronet. There have been three baronetcies created for persons with the surname Paget, all in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom, and a fourth created for the Bayly, which later became the Paget Baronetcy. As of 2016, two of the creations are extant.

Working at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, London (1834–71), Paget discovered (1834) in human muscle the parasitic worm that causes trichinosis.

Sir James Paget, 1st Baronet FRS HFRSE (11 January 1814 – 30 December 1899) (/ ˈ p æ dʒ ə t /, rhymes with "gadget") was an English surgeon and pathologist who is best remembered for naming Paget's disease and who is considered, together with Rudolf Virchow, as one of the founders of scientific medical pathology.
