Jeremy McGrath (born November 19, 1971) is a former American motocross racer. He is one of the most popular American Motocross / Supercross champions in the history of the sport, earning seven AMA Supercross 250cc Championships, one 250cc AMA Motocross Championship, two 125cc West Championships and a record 72 Premier class Supercross wins.

McGrath was born in San Francisco on November 19, 1971. His family moved to Southern California when he was a child. His first motorcycle was a mini-bike powered by a Briggs & Stratton lawnmower motor. Unlike most of his contemporaries, McGrath did not come through the mini-bike racing ranks.

7 de nov. de 2022 · Born in San Fransisco on November 19, 1971 and later moved to Southern California. After just three years of riding as an amateur, McGrath made his AMA debut in 1989. He finished his first Supercross season ranked eighth in the 125 West Region Series. In 1990, he rode for the Kawasaki’s support squad and began to make his an impact on the sport.

McGrath was a late starter to motocross but had been a BMX rider and racer for some time before giving dirtbikes a go, which is when he fell in love with horsepower rather than leg power.
