Joey Sturgis is an american record producer born in Connersville, Indiana on January 3rd, 1985. Award-winning producer, recording/mixing engineer, programmer, writer, performer & software developer Joey Sturgis has forged a revolutionary new wave of American metal since his appearance on the scene in 2007.
To record guitar and bass, Joey uses a Countryman DI box fed directly into his RME Firewire 800 interface, and then adds his amp tones with amp simulators such as Line 6's Pod Farm plug‑in. Joey believes that he can achieve more consistent results using simulators than with real amps and microphones, and consistency is something that his metalcore sound is built upon.
The band worked with producer Joey Sturgis (We Came as Romans, Asking Alexandria, The Devil Wears Prada, Blessthefall) on their self-titled debut album. It features guest vocals by Denis Shaforostov (known by his stage moniker Denis Stoff) formerly of Asking Alexandria.
